“noi” is a woman-owned, family-run business, specialising in matcha, coffee, house-made syrups and South East Asian flavours! Inspired originally by the Thai Tea and Matcha of my mother-in-law Noi, this business was a concept to fuse traditional tea ceremony, with modern flavours. 

 

Starting this business in the kitchen of my parents’ home, we risked it all to bring new flavours to Chelmsford. We work predominantly in pop-up locations, as well as offering a pick-up service from our residential location, and selling our matcha and hojicha powders online.

Our matcha is sourced at a family-run farm in Kyoto, Japan. It is completely organic, as well as being single cultivar, single garden and single varietals. This ceremonial grade matcha is velvety and umami, with a full-bodied texture, young fresh grass notes and floral undertones. This farm also provides us with a high-quality hojicha from komakage & yabukita varietals - offering a gentle, toasted aroma - with notes of caramel, nuts and wood smoke.

We also work with Assembly Roasters in London for our coffee. Our beans are sourced worldwide, with different specials & note profiles throughout the year. One thing we can guarantee: you can never have a bad cup of Assembly!
